Kuala Lumpur is a great city. For one reason or another, during our last six-month trip through Asia we found ourselves in KL on three separate occasions.
Our first time in KL we took the KLIA Express train from the airport to KL Sentral. Though it was very fast, it hurt our wallets at 35 ringgit ($12) per person.
We thought to ourselves "there has to be a better way!" Luckily, there is!
Taking the bus from KLIA2 to KL Sentral is super easy. Walk out of KLIA2 through the mall and head to the very bottom floor of the building. You will see many ticket counters to the right of the exit doors. Walk to the last few counters - this is where you can buy your ticket. Note: you must buy your ticket before boarding the bus. Tickets cost only 10 ringgit ($3).
The bus ride takes approximately an hour to KL Sentral depending on traffic. Though not nearly as fast as the KLIA Express train, taking the bus from KLIA2 to KL Sentral is much cheaper and can give you some extra ringgit for the Chinatown market!
