The Grand Arcade:
Our favourite place to eat on Phi Phi (pronounced Pee-Pee, seriously) The food is really great, fresh, and actually presented nicely. This was by far the best curry we had in a long time. We also tried the stir-fried vegetables with basil but found the curry to be much better value and taste. The Massaman curry from here is a must try.
Only Noodles:
This small ‘hole in the wall’ type place serves up only one thing. Pad thai. You pick your choice of noodle and your meat or veg option and wait a few minutes. Out comes a fairly large portion of pad thai custom made for you. We tried the large noodle and glass noodle, but can recommend the Pad Thai noodle more. This is one of the best deals on the island for cheap vegetarian food only costing 60 baht.
Paddy’s Irish Pub:
A strange choice but it just goes to show the westernization of Koh Phi Phi. It was hard to find authentic or good Thai food on the island without shelling out a ton of cash so when Paddy’s bar offered all Thai food at 80 baht we gave it a try. The vegetarian option adds tofu with all dishes and we enjoyed a very large Pad Thai and a Massaman curry. The pad Thai was the best choice, but be prepared to wait a while if the place is busy as it often is.
